About Pandit Goutham
In times of uncertainty in life, astrology can provide a different outlook. The Journey and Learning
Each astrologer’s journey is unique. Pandit Goutham has been studying astrology for decades, reading various classics and watching actual charts. He specialises in the essence of Vedic astrology – the nine “grahas” or planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu). He also deals with the twelve houses of the horoscope that are associated with different life areas such as career (10th house), status and public life, etc. Another important tool is the dashas, or planetary periods. These are the ones when Vedic predictive astrology is the backbone. He can determine the Dasha cycles from the birth chart, and then he can find out which planets are “active” at this time or what themes will be played out in the birth chart.
Nakshatras – the 27 lunar mansions – also provide information. The subtle meaning arises from each planet located in a nakshatra. His analysis also includes planetary transits. Vedic astrology, transit (gochara) refers to the planet’s present position in the zodiac. These transits have an impact on the natal chart and produce life events. For example, Saturn’s slow-moving change of signs can align with a significant life stage, such as the shift from childhood to adulthood. Pandit Goutham is studying these movements in order to provide context to the timing (but always within the context of the whole chart).

In each instance, Pandit Goutham takes a comprehensive approach. He’s not a quick solution seller. Instead, clients are shown the factors of the chart and the potential trajectory. If the two individuals continue to argue, for instance, then there may be hard aspects between Venus and Mars or a Dharmayoga aspect in conflict. Then he talks about the practical things such as improvements in communication, and any spiritual practice they want to do.
Consultation Experience
During a typical consultation with Pandit Goutham, you will be treated for:
- Preparation : Details of birth (date, time, location) and important questions are given by phone or on a form. He makes the chart beforehand.
- Session : You discuss your concerns, in person or on the phone/online. He asks questions for clarification to see the situation clearly.
- Chart Analysis : He explains points that are important in the chart: e.g planets that rule important houses, current Dashas, Transits. He relates them to your question.
- Interpretation : He explains the results clearly and concisely. For instance, “Your Saturn is now in your career house, so there could be additional responsibility or slow progress.
- Remedies (if any) : He recommends personal spiritual remedies (such as charity) to balance Saturn.
- Follow-Up : Summary of reading in chart or notes are usually given to the client. He welcomes questions and can respond to follow-up questions.
